Ellen Plumb Bookstore owner Marcia Lawrence, Tom Weso, Keven Rabas (Ks. Poet Laureate) in Emporia

Tom Weso (1953-2023) was a noted storyteller. His wife Denise Low is available for readings, PowerPoint talks, and memoir workshops based on his works Suggested rate is $300 plus expenses, half day / lecture or $500 for a full day. (Special “Indian” rates available). Tom presented talks/workshops to the Culinary History Enthusiasts of Wisconsin, the Hutchinson, Kansas Public Library, numerous bookstores, University of Minnesota’s American Indian Studies student group, Native American Literature Symposium, and many others.   • Dec. 6, 2023, Zoom presentation through the Madison Public Library, 7 pm CT  The Menominee author Tom Weso’s wife and copy editor Denise Low, a writer herself, will speak about about his memoirs, Survival Food and Good Seeds: A Menominee Indian Food Memoir(link is external)–its humor, good stories, and places important to this northern Wisconsin tribal nation.
